Charles Schuh is a Vice President and Supervisor of the Roof Observation / Testing Department and has been employed with Inspec since 2001. His background includes extensive technical knowledge and experience with commercial roofing applications including EPDM, PVC, TPO, modified, sheet metal (including flat-lock soldered seam), clay tile, and wood and asphalt shingles. During his employment at Inspec, he has been responsible for failure investigations, surveys of existing conditions, insurance investigations, and construction observation of built-up, single-ply, tile, and metal roofing.
Mr. Schuh has specialized expertise in flat-lock metal roofing. This roof system can be quite challenging to install and requires extensive knowledge and preparation throughout the installation process. During his employment at Inspec, Mr. Schuh has observed numerous solder tests performed by contractors. These solder tests help to set the standard of quality for the installation process.
Prior to 2001, Mr. Schuh was employed for over 10 years in the roofing industry with responsibilities including estimating construction costs, leak investigations, and supervising roofing construction.
In 2003, Mr. Schuh passed the Registered Roof Observer (RRO) exam. The RRO is offered by the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) as a benchmark of the skill levels of personnel providing these types of services.
In 2008, Mr. Schuh was promoted at Inspec to the Roofing Observation and Testing Supervisor.
In 2019, Mr. Schuh was promoted to Vice President.
