Common questions

Is BEMS software I buy, or part of working with Inspec?

BEMS is set up for owners and managers working with Inspec, because the records inside it come from our field work. It is not a standalone product you install and populate yourself. If you would like to see how it works and what it would hold for your buildings, contact us and we will walk through it.

What is the difference between BEMS and an inspection report?

An inspection report describes conditions at one point in time. BEMS holds those reports together with the photos, leak logs and notes from previous visits, so each new finding sits alongside its history. You can see whether an area is newly damaged or has been a recurring problem for several years.

Can more than one person on our staff use it?

Yes. BEMS supports multi-user access with permission control, so different people can be given the level of access their role requires. Because the information sits in the system rather than in individual inboxes or filing cabinets, it stays available when staff change roles or leave the organization.

Can we get the data out of BEMS?

Yes. BEMS exports to Excel or CSV, including roof area, defect type, inspection year and associated photos, so the data can be sorted and analyzed in a spreadsheet. Reports can also be printed from the browser or saved as PDFs when you need a fixed document for a budget request or board packet.
